112-90-3 – Introduction
Cis-oleyl primary amine is an organic compound whose molecule contains multiple primary amine groups, and the primary amine groups in its molecular structure are arranged in a cis configuration.
Properties:
Cis-oleyl primary amine is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a characteristic ammonia odor. It has relatively high solubility and can dissolve in many organic solvents. Cis-oleyl primary amine also has good surface-active properties and can reduce the surface tension of liquids.
It can be used to prepare products such as detergents, softeners, lubricants, emulsifiers, and foaming agents. Cis-oleyl primary amine can also be used as an oilfield enhanced oil recovery agent, metal rust inhibitor, and the like.
The preparation of cis-oleyl primary amine can generally be achieved through an oil oxidation reaction. Specifically, an appropriate amount of fatty acid is reacted with an oxidizing agent to form the corresponding acid peroxide. Then, the acid peroxide is reacted with an amine to obtain cis-oleyl primary amine.
It is a flammable liquid and will burn upon contact with open flames, high temperatures, or oxidizing agents. During storage and handling, it should be kept away from ignition sources and maintained in a well-ventilated environment. During use, direct contact with skin and eyes should be avoided, and personal protective measures such as wearing gloves and goggles should be taken.
