Safety Information
1. Hazard Classification
Extremely flammable liquid (GHS classification: Flam. Liq. 1), it is an extremely low-flashpoint flammable substance that can easily catch fire and explode when exposed to open fire or high heat.
Acute oral toxicity (Acute Tox. 4), can cause central nervous system depression (STOT SE 3), inhalation may lead to drowsiness or anesthesia.
2. Safety Protection Requirements
The operation shall be carried out in a closed and well-ventilated area, and the site shall be equipped with explosion-proof ventilation, emergency eyewash and shower facilities. Operators shall wear N95 dust masks, safety goggles and protective gloves.
Occupational exposure limit: Time-weighted average permissible concentration (TWA) is 1200 mg/m³ (400 ppm), and short-term exposure limit (STEL) is 1500 mg/m³ (500 ppm).
3. Storage Requirements
Store in a special warehouse for flammable liquids that is cool, dry and well-ventilated. Keep away from fire and heat sources, the warehouse temperature should not exceed 30℃, and it should be stored separately from oxidants and acids.
After opening, seal it with nitrogen protection. For long-term storage, the peroxide content shall be tested regularly, and the peroxide concentration shall be controlled below 1%.
4. Emergency Treatment
Skin/eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of running water; seek medical attention immediately in case of inhalation or ingestion.
Fire fighting: Extinguish with dry powder, dry sand, carbon dioxide or alcohol-resistant foam. Water is prohibited for fire fighting.
