Hazard Characteristics: Highly corrosive, causes burns to skin and eyes, irritates the respiratory tract; releases highly toxic hydrogen cyanide gas when in contact with cyanides, and emits irritating fumes when heated.
Safe Operation: Operate in a closed system with enhanced ventilation. Personnel must wear full-face respirators, acid-alkali resistant gloves and protective clothing, keep away from flammable materials, and avoid contact with alkalis and active metal powders.
Emergency Handling: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water and seek medical attention after exposure. For spills, contain with inert materials such as sand; do not directly spray with water to avoid spreading.
Storage & Transportation Requirements: Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse with temperature not exceeding 30°C, separated from alkalis, metal powders and cyanides. Avoid direct sunlight and rain during transport, and never ship together with food-grade chemicals.
