Tebuconazole(CAS#107534-96-3)
107534-96-3 – Introduction Tebuconazole is an organic compound with the chemical name 5-hydroxymethyloxazolidin-4-one.
Tebuconazole is a white solid with good water solubility and thermal stability. It is an amphoteric substance and can form hydrochloride or hydroxide in water. Tebuconazole has two common enantiomers: levorotatory L-tebuconazole and dextrorotatory D-tebuconazole.
As a ketol antibiotic, it can inhibit the growth of various bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.
Tebuconazole can be synthesized via a series of routes. One commonly used method is the reaction of acetoacetate with hydrazine to generate the ketol imine of tebuconazole, followed by acidic hydrolysis to obtain tebuconazole.
It may release toxic gases under high temperature. Keep away from fire sources and high-temperature environments. Contact with eyes and skin may cause irritation and allergic reactions; proper protective measures shall be taken. Waste shall be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
