Introduction
Gonorrhelin is an organic compound. It is a white to pale yellow crystalline powder with a special aromatic odor. Gonamorelin is mainly used in the preparation of chemical products such as synthetic hormones, natural rubber and synthetic rubber. It is also widely used as a solvent and plasticizer. Gonaurelin is usually prepared by a series of chemical reactions. One of the commonly used methods is to react methylcyclopentanone with dimethylpentaoxanone to produce tobertol, which is then condensed with carpalmic acid through acid catalysis to finally obtain gonarelin. It is a flammable substance that is irritating. Contact with the skin and inhalation of its vapors should be avoided during the procedure. Gonamorelin can form explosive mixtures in the air, so ensure that the operating area is well ventilated and protected from contact with open flames or hot surfaces. In the event of an accident, appropriate measures should be taken immediately.
Application
Gonadorelin (Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone, GnRH, CAS 33515-09-2) is a synthetic decapeptide identical to the endogenous hypothalamic hormone. As a potent GnRH agonist, it binds to GnRH receptors on the anterior pituitary, stimulating the synthesis and pulsatile release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). This mechanism directly regulates gonadal function, making it a critical active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) in both veterinary and human medicine. In veterinary practice, Gonadorelin is extensively used for reproductive management in cattle, swine, and horses, including the treatment of ovarian follicular cysts, induction of ovulation in cases of LH‑deficiency, synchronization of estrus for timed artificial insemination (TAI), and improvement of conception rates in postpartum animals. In human therapeutics, Gonadorelin is indicated for the diagnosis and treatment of hypothalamic amenorrhea, hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, delayed puberty, and female infertility by mimicking natural pulsatile GnRH secretion to restore ovulatory cycles. As a high‑purity pharmaceutical standard, Gonadorelin is also available as USP, EP, and BP pharmacopeial reference standards for analytical method development, quality control (QC), impurity profiling, and system suitability testing in ANDA and DMF filings. Xinchem is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-purity Gonadorelin (acetate and hydrochloride salts).
